Eating here was truly a taste treat. I often order tofu dishes just because I choose to avoid meat when possible ( no red, a little chicken, turkey, or fish). Usually tofu is maybe "okay", but seldom has much flavor. This tofu was bursting with taste. It was every bit as savory as the rissoto and vegetables, and that's saying something. The waiter recommended Tiramisu for dessert, but then returned to say the kitchen had informed him they were out of it. I subsequently ordered Crème Brûlée and was ever so glad I did. It was worth every penny of the $9 price. We sat at a table on the upper terrace and, although the intersection is fairly busy, street traffic was not a problem. Definitely returning sometime soon.
Delicious drinks and great courthouse view. We enjoyed our patio snack at the Courthouse. The patio has a wonderful courthouse view. The sitting space is a touch cramped, but it was enjoyable. Our server was a total pro. The food was ok. The appetizer wings were better than the fish tacos. Oh yes, and I loved the unusual muddled mai tai. I'd return just for that.
Probably the best steak in Santa Barbara...highly recommended !! Big menu, reasonable prices too.
Visiting SB so you now I had to come to the courthouse. Luckily enough, the Courthouse Tavern was right across the street offering delicious drinks, tasty food, and excellent views & atmosphere.
I walked in right as they were opening so I got to meet the new beverage director Jim Firek. He made a great vodka sour, and has great vision for the place.
Definitely drop by if you're hanging out in the area!
