Is the fun place to go to be able to see the Santa Barbara coast. It is a little chilly when we went, so I imagine it's busier during normal weather. There's good food on the pier as well. While walking back towards the shops we saw sea lions playing in the water. He's a nice place to walk to if you're in Santa Barbara. You can park on the street and walk the pier, or if you're visiting a restaurant on the beer you can drive in parking on it.
This is the third time I have been to Santa Barbara. It is absolutely gorgeous by the water! My wife, my mother, and I walked back and forth on Stearns Wharf. The views of the mountains and palm trees in the distance are so beautiful that no photo can really do it justice.
You can park on the pier, but you have to pay for it after a certain amount of time. There are some great restaurants there in case you get hungry. It is best to just take a seat and take in the view.
So we stopped by and parked in the parking lot next to the skateboard park. The walk to the pier from there was about five minutes, and then the walk to the end of the pier is about fifteen to twenty minutes. There are plenty of seafood restaurants at the end, and a couple of small shops that sell gifts and snacks. We didn't eat and just walked the pier, but all of the restaurants looked very inviting. Overall, the wharf area, and everything around State St is a cool place. Shopping, eats, drinks and good memories to be made there. Cheers!
Have to say with only one visit there it is a very nice and now my favorite wharf Pier? That you can drive on to and just well done nice everything about it was great. Food people cleanliness etc :-)
SUPER COOL!!!! We arrived here at night when everything was already closed. However, it was neat that we actually drove down the wharf and parked here. The views of Santa Barbara's coast and hills at night were magical because the wharf extends far into the ocean. The best part is the night time fishing!!! Come on down and check this out
