The specials are amazing! I haven't had anything I didn't like, aside from the coffee. Knotty thing is easy is don't really bother with add-on items and the coffee, as they rack up the bill quicker than the meals but add little.
Very nice breakfast with a great variety of pancakes and crepes. Updated with boots and with a price increase but worth. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoy pancakes and crepes, big quantity.
I'm a fan of The Original Pancake House and have been to several different of their locations. I've always found the food of high quality and the service has always been competent. My favorite dish here is their Dutch baby which is a baked egg based raised pastry item with similar flavor to French toast. The restaurant has authentic maple syrup and of course other toppings. I like the fact that all their items are of high quality. I have been there with large groups and everyone has been quite satisfied.
The place wan hopping and jumping. The servers and hostesses are very friendly and they are very accommodating to what you need. The food was just awesome with a fluffy fluffy pancake that I really liked. I have been looking for a place where I could have that nice feel of the pancake. The Omelette that I ordered is also delicious because it has so much stuff in it like they did not count the number of sliced sausages or number of pieces of bacon that a lot of other restaurants would do and have more eggs than the stuffing in it.
I really like this place. People here always have a smile and the food tastes great. Some may say the decor looks old. I like to say it has some classic charm. The Spanish tile floor can be uneven for the tables, and the tables may not be considered modern, but that's all part of the Original Pancake House theme. I think it works for them. Everything is maintained in good condition. Restroom is clean and even has a real full size changing table, not just a flimsy fold down shelf like other places. They have a dedicated parking lot across the street, on the other side of the bank next door.
