    We celebrated my wife's 55th birthday at Pompeii last weekend. It was a beautiful evening and we sat outside. The menu is classic Italian with all kinds of dishes. I had a wonderful gooey and large calzone. Wife had lamb chops that were just OK. The chops were small and overcooked, but the dessert of bread pudding made up for it. I would definitely return with friends.

    This is a cute restaurant. The servers were very nice. I ordered the tortellini, which was good, though I don't think it's worth nearly $17. There was complementary bread and dipping sauce. The sauce was some sort of eggplant-garlic oil. It was alright. I definitely would have preferred normal oil and balsamic vinegar, or just butter. Overall, it was good. I'm not yearning to visit for a while.
