Never really noticed this place up until a homeless man standing outside Imas, who then asked me some help.
I talked with the man and told him I don’t have cash at the moment but that I would be willing to buy him some food if he is hungry. He said ok. So I went inside and got him some food. The place is ok. The only thing is that you need to spend a certain amount of money or they won’t be able to ring you. So basically I had to order more stuff that I actually don’t want to buy just so i can get what I need. I really think it’s not a very wise business practice. Customers will end up going somewhere else for this reason.
Decent food
Filipino food
Small carinderia that will pleasantly surprise you with reasonably priced food and snacks. We usually get the Lumpiang prito, Okoy and Turong saging here. This is by far the best place to get the Lumpiang prito and turong saging. I have tasted these at other Filipino restaurants but none is better than at Ima's. The only thing lacking is there are only three chairs for dine-in. We came in at the right time so we sort of have the "private" dining we wanted where we can just enjoy the food then move on. We ate pakbet and Sweet & Sour Tilapia and both were great, home-style cooking. Whenever we go to Milpitas, I sure pass by Ima's even just to grab turong saging for the road trip.
