I came here with my best friend 4 days ago to try out this place for the first time. Both of us ordered their salmon plate. We both like it. The service was goid. Our food came out fast. The server check up on us 3 times. The only negative thing would be that my salon was a little salty. Other than that, everything was great!
I've been coming here for years. I used to be a regular when I lived in the area years ago. I was on a trip back to Milpitas this week and was happy to see so many familiar faces! The food is always on point and my coffee cup is never empty. Definitely my favorite black bear location in the US.
Oh my God! I used to love this restaurant... until the lunchtime manager called the police on me!
A handsome Milpitas cop walked up to my table and asked me why I would not leave. I told the officer I wasn't finshed drinking my coffee. I told him I would leave as soon as I finish drinking my coffee. So I finished my coffee, and drove home. I called corporate headquarters to file a complaint against the lunatic general manager, who looks like a big fat girl, with a big fat neck, and a very evil looking face. I got no response. I can't file a lawsuit because they refuse to tell me her name so I can sue the lunatic in a court of law. Why does this company hire such evil, hateful, mean-faced, morbidly obese, demons???
Finally was able to grab some patato soup! The best! Shasta scramble was great! I feel it was a healthy breakfast since it was very low on sodium. Hash brown was also low on sodium so it was perfect
This is probably the closest Midwest eating experience in a big franchise offering you can get in California. Having grown up in the Midwest this has all the right feels to rekindle the atmosphere you'd get in the middle states. The menu is classic and comfort like and they are known for their large portions, but are not as large as Claim Jumpers, another franchise known for its massive portions, on average. The size of a serving of cornbread it a biscuit will blow your mind. At the same time, the size is more notable than the flavor so take it for what it's worth.
