MLBB Hot Pot 马路边边 Malubianbian

Gosh… it is finally open in the bay areas. I have alway had to driven down to LA for Chuan chuan. Now is only 15 mins away. Finally dream came true. The decor and taste are pretty much the same as the one I had in chengdu. ( miss my home town)

I would say it Overall meet my expectations. Especially the cooked hot pot” 冒菜”, the beef, tomato and Glass noodle, So darn good. The soup base could be more spicy. I would go for extra spicy next time if you have high spice tolerance like me. We ended up pay $58 per person, slightly higher than the one in LA. But it is Bay Area, come on. Everything is expensive here.

I read some of the reviews talking about cutting line issue. I was skittish at first, worry about too much waiting time. But We got a table around 30 mins or so. Not too bad since I waited way longer in LA.

The server are super friendly, they checked us pretty often, like adding soup or ask is if we need anything. So glad they finally make it to Bay Area.

Went there the 2nd day of soft opening. Read a lot of reviews before we went, and planned to switch restaurants anytime if the wait is too long. We arrived around 5pm, got number 28, and was told it may be ready in about 2-2.5h. There are a lot of other business within the same plaza, so we grabbed a milk tea, got a 60min foot & body massage across the parking lot, and shopped in the lion’s market. As the online app showing us the updated waiting status, we went back before the table was ready.

Overall, the food was pretty tasty, our table was at the end, a quiet corner for girls talk. The servers were polite, and one server who walked by helped us open the yogurt bottle when noticing we were unable to. The amount we ordered was just enough, and we had a great conversation while enjoying the food.

Overall, I think we were prepared before coming, so didn’t had any bad experience. If the wait was shorter, it would be better, but we were not rushed, so we had a great time overall. I will go back with other friends for sure.

Food taste great, especially the tender beef and the spicy fish! I had so many skewers They also have a lot of interesting drinks. I will definitely go back again.

Came before 5pm today and waited about 40min to be seated. The food tastes really good. Beef, beef tripe and duck blood are my favorite.
Don’t know other 1 star reviewers actually did come to this place. That’s way too much!
