Pho Hoa

I had a pleasant quick stop for a bowl of bun and a fruit tea. The service was quick and professional, and the bun was delicious.

The pho was lovely, normal recipe. Sadly the service was sorely lacking. We were there in the evening, and the only person there (outside the kitchen) was a surly 20-something who provided such gems as "we don't ever serve you the add-ins, you've got to get them yourself" with a vague nod toward the back of the room and "that drink is *never* hot" when asked for a milk tea (neither of those things are true in any other Pho Hua I've been to, and at least the first wasn't true here based on some of the customers who came in after us)
I don't know if it was a bad night for him, or they figure the Castro street crowd doesn't care for service but despite this being the closest Pho Hua to my house I'll keep driving down to the DeAnaza store rather than go back. :-/

You know it’s not the biggest gourmet place but they don’t pretended to be! Even though it’s a chain I’m happy they are there in downtown Mountain View. When it’s late at night they’re one of the very few take out places that can deliver a yummy vegetarian and even vegan ish dinner which is sooo nice. Plus for their veggie dishes they have serious vegetables which is one of the biggest advantages to Vietnamese food !!!! Thanks!
