Kirk's SteakBurgers

If you value your money and love really good food, you will really enjoy Kirk's. Charbroiling makes such a difference in the making of a great burger! Try the loaded fries for a real, once in awhile treat.

The steakburgers were delicious. The lemonade was sweet and sour; the expected flavor for lemonade, quite good. Fast service even at lunch.

The loaded fries were on point, they use fresh grilled jalapenos and the kick was perfect.
I give 4 stars because it was physically uncomfortable. We went on a cold day and there was no way to avoid the draft coming in, it was unwelcoming to sit and eat for very long. If it wasn't for a family member recommending the food, I definitely would have left. Thankfully the second room was full of chatty high school teens. We hid at a table between them and the door and warmed ourselves with their kinetic energy.
Ok anyway, the food was worth it, I'll be returning in spring/summer.

Burger and fries were really good, which is the only reason why this isn't a 1 star review. I ordered my burger, a smokehouse burger. I go to sit down. They called my order and I get there and it's just a patty with cheese. So I ask the guy at the front. He checks on it for me then I look down and see he actually put my burger as steak something, which I guess is a plain burger. I mention it to him that I think he got my order wrong and he accuses me off not actually ordering the smokehouse burger. I insist that is all I ever intended to order and he proceeds to argue with me about it! Instead of just apologizing and offering to correct it, he accuses me of telling him the wrong burger when I order. He does get it corrected and the cook was very nice and helpful during this. So the takeaway is, check your receipt. I recommend to the restaurant to have your cashiers read back the order to the customers. I may go back just because the burger was really good.

I've been eating Kirk burgers since 1955 (when I was five years old) and they were always the best burger in the world for me. They used to only add some bread crumbs & tomato paste so they tasted great cooked rare. Now they taste like paste when cooked rare. However, they still taste good cooked medium. They would be a lot better without the "other" additives (soy protein?).
