ROOH Palo Alto

Went for opening night, the staff have done a beautiful job with the decor and ambiance. It was lively and the food was more than I could have expected. Overall very pleased with my visit. More of a lounge type vibe rather than family oriented.

Overall, the food quality is great. The chicken malai tikka is luscious. We ate it before taking a picture. I wish there were more vegetarian options and a variety of Indian breads for entrees. Also, more variety in desserts. It’s a good place if you want to have a more elevated, non-traditional Indian food experience.

Really good food that gives a new and unique twist to Indian food. The food was delicious and the interior design was very nice. Will definitely come back to try different dishes.

Not bad overall, the food is really good don’t get me wrong. Just a few things here and there impacted our enjoyment of this new spot. They were completely out of beer, they said that yesterday was opening night that that they completely sold out, though they said that their delivery fell through and they had made an effort to stock more beer. For some reason my date received her food about 10 minutes before the rest of our food showed up, not really what we were expecting from the hype around this restaurant. Though the management did apologize for the delay and comped a dessert. Other then that the duck kabob was delicious and plentiful. The swordfish was quite good though the portion size could have been slightly larger. They were out of their house made ice cream so we will need to try that next time, we ended up getting the chocolate tart and it was extremely delicious. I recommend dining here, maybe give then a week to get their routine crisp though.

I'm so excited that ROOH opened a restaurant in Palo Alto. We've been to the one in San Francisco several times and always enjoyed the awesome food. The photos below are some of my favorite dishes. Very much looking forward to Palo Alto!
