All you can eat dinner is the way to go. Good soup bases and fast service.
It was meh. My partner thought it would be faster service at a hotpot place, than go to a ramen restaurant. There were a couple guests, us & one waitress. But the service was SLOW. We had to wait pretty longg for the food which was half miso & half spicy/numbing broths.
- the food is good, but is pricey for the portion. We got large size $45 & extra sides with total of $55 plus at the end.
- the spicy/numbing broth IS NOT spicy. It is just oily with dried chili. We mostly ate the miso broth.
- the service is ... I have no words. I came in telling the waitress that I wanted to sit in the corner bc I don't want to be COLD. She said: The table has a broken leg or something... Yet, later, when the restaurant got crowded. Another couple got seated in THE EXACT SAME CORNER :((
- the restaurant was later filled with 20 plus people, there was still ONE waitress :(( poor her.
This is the only time I'll be here.
My favorite hot pot / shabu restaurant in the bay area.
They have a variety of soups with from savory to spicy at different spice levels (3 i believe). My favorite is the TONKATSU soup (even though there's an extra charge it is well worth it).
Every pot comes as a split pot (2 soups per pot)
Everything you cook in the soup(meat, veggies etc.), soak up the soup flavors and add flavor to the soup as it is being cooked in it. The fish balls are filled with seasoned pork, an item that is not easily found at shabu restaurants.
Meats!
American Kobe Beef
My favorite cut of meat. Excellent marbling, so you are ensured a very nice tender and flavorful
Certified Angus Lean Beef
If you want a more lean cut of beef and less calories. This cut is a little less forgiving when it comes to overcooking since it is so lean, it can overcook fast if not attended to.
Premium Pork
When you need a break from beef or just want a change in texture and taste. This cut of pork is fairly lean as well.
Premium Lamb
A great substitute to beef and pork (esp if diners have beef and pork restrictions. The lamb for the most part tasted good. There is more fat on the lamb than the Angus beef as well as the pork. The one time I did have gamey lamb and complained the workers took care of the situation very well.
My Favorites
TONKATSU SOUP
AMERICAN KOBE BEEF
SESAME SAUCE
FISH BALL with PORK FILLING
CABBAGES that get a chance to soak up flavors of the tonkatsu soup.
