A tad salty, but the fries are cooked in peanut oil, and are just the best around.
cheap food, so delicious. it's so savory. prices that are reasonable.
This Five Guys location does not let me down every single time I visit. Its proximity to Diridon Station and San Jose State using public transportation and scooter makes it an inviting place to dine, especially after a long, tough day at school. I would usually dive down on peanuts as an appetizer, but on this night, I went straight for my favorite bacon cheeseburger and Cajun fries, washed down with Coke. I should consider having this as my pre-birthday dinner as well.
Came in dead last in the side-by-side-by-side blind comparison I did with a group of friends between this place, In-N-Out, and the Habit. Their fries were (way) too salty and they serve doubles (two patties) by default if you just go up to the counter and ask for a cheeseburger. The meat was dry compared to the other places and made more so by the fact that we ordered cheeseburgers with no additional toppings or condiments (for a fair flavour comparison with In-N-Out) and the Five Guys burger was the only double.
That being said, there was a reason we were comparing these three restaurants and Five Guys does serve solid burgers.
