Decent and very good service but there are better places.
Meat quality not as good as Jersey Mikes or
St. John's in SC where I order the pepper chesse steak sandwich not as much meat but a higher grade of meat and consistent.

Not sure why I've never tried this place before - such great quality cheesesteaks at really affordable prices! I've had cheesesteaks around the Bay Area but this is probably the best I've had so far. I got the 'Shorty' (7") but it was more than enough for one person (should have shared). The cheese fries were delicious as well - straight up just fries smothered in nacho cheese ????

Amazing cheesesteaks. The cost per sandwich seems high, until you actually get it... Its huge! Perfect ratio of meat to cheese and exactly the right bread.

Some of the best cheesesteaks in town! Sandwiches are huge, delicious and priced just right. A Shorty is a mouthful and I don't know ANYBODY who wouldn't be full even eating just half of one!

I've been going to Amato's since they opened back when. I can always count on getting a good beef steak sandwich. Cheese, onions, peppers and mushrooms are options. All are cooked on the spot to order. You can also get these sandwiches with chicken instead of beef. These come in 3 sizes, the shorty at 7" fills me up. All can be made to go. Sodas are available.
