Only come here if you have an hour and a half to wait. The food is very unique, and you can tell it is cooked by a perfectionist, because it looks and tastes great, best of all tastes great without much sodium (like most restaurants) so you know they nailed the herbs, spices, and cooking techniques perfectly. The Uygher Special Milk Tea was the most unique tea I've ever had: it took a while to come out and it was like a whipped buttery tea (very good, worth trying even if you're not much of a tea drinker -- if you like butter that is). The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The only problem is the wait to get your food. I'm not sure, but I thought I over heard some guys call their order to dine-in in ahead of time, because I heard the host say something about an order called in to the only guests that got their food very soon after being seated. Maybe that's the trick to eating here. Anyway, very good food. The kind of place to bring out of town visitors to experience unique to the bay area diverse foods.
Pretty small menu, but whatever they have they do it pretty well. Unfortunately the experience itself wasn't great. Our dinner went for about 2.5 hrs because they were trying to make a huge portion of this one dish that every table ordered so it took forever. I suggest you get your food to go or come early before the lines form
The cooked food is quite good, but...you need to wait quite long time before having lunch/dinner here. Parking space is also limited. Also, food portion is a bit small.
One of my new favorite places! The food is excellent and plated almost *too* prettily for such an unassuming restaurant. Given the location and private parking in back, parking is easy. Service is attentive, friendly and kind. The details really add to the deliciousness, from the trace of cardamom in the polo rice, to the handmade yogurt.
We ordered Big Plate Chicken, Polo, Lamb shank with Naan and some other small dishes. We arrived at 6pm and waited for about one and half hours and the orders are still not served fully. Things that are ordered later were actually served first. To be honest, the food was good but it was definitely not worth the wait. It's possible that they are not prepared for this amount of traffic. Hopefully, they will improve the serving system.
