(March 4, 2019, 2:59 am)We loved Edna Ray in Los Gatos and Willow Glen. We were so sad when they retired last year. Saw the article that a younger family member reopened the business in San Jose on San Carlos. We were thrilled and tried it tonight.
We were disappointed and hope it's growing pains. I hope the niece will talk to her elders about their recipes. Tonight our Edna Ray Chow Mein had a hint of a burnt taste and the sweet and sour pork was over cooked and beyond crunchy. The combination rice was close to what the original owner did and the Peking chicken was nicely prepared. Since they have only been open 5 months we will try again in a month. We wish them well and hope to up our review to 5 stars soon. -
