SAJJ Mediterranean San Jose

This is my goto for a quick bite. Very tasty Lebanese style food. A little pricey for fast food, but you get a nice sized portion.

I had chicken, wasn't that amazing. The falafel and the soup is good and their strawberry lemonade was good as well.
The service is really good.

The easiest way to describe this place is a build-a-bowl of Mediterranean food. You choose a protein, base and then toppings. I had the pomegranate chicken on a mixed green base. The chicken wasn't fruity at all, just savory and delicious. There are a lot of high quality toppings including cooked veggies (eggplant, cauliflower) and lots of fresh ones too (tomato, cucumber). There's also sauces like hummus, tahini and the garlic cream (which is amazing by the way). Then on top of that you also get a free cup of yummy soup. I was a little afraid that the salad wouldn't be filling enough but the toppings are substantial enough to carry.

The staff are very inviting and the seating is plentiful. We came on a Sunday night so we also got to watch some bonus football that was playing.

The only thing I have to warn you about is that the tabbouleh is an extra dollar. This isn't listed anywhere on the menu and there's no sign indicating that it is extra. Other than that, this place is great!
