Quite expensive for Italian, but they have week night specials with good pricing too. Expect to spend at least $20 a person when you go, less if you're ordering just pizza. The food is tasty but there are some dishes to stay away from. Like the risotto is not risotto and the steam clams have a very strong lemon taste. But, the braised lamb is amazing and the pastas are good. The pasta dishes do look a bit small, but are actually very filling. After the bread and salad, I had to take the rest of my food home. Their bread rolls and garlic spread are to die for. And I like the outdoor seating when they use it. This place also offers pizza, but I have not had it.
Came in Friday for dinner takeout. Restaurant was busy, staff was attentive, and ambiance was fair (maybe TGIF??). Got the clam chowder and calamari. Both were spot on good. Great big venue for a party and of course full bar!! I look forward to come back and check out the rest of their menu.
Love the pizza, salad and bread here. Always fresh and tasty. I like that they always check to make sure the order is correct by opening your pizza box to verify you have the right pizza. Friendly workers. My family's favorite carryout pizza place!
Giorgio's and its sister establishment, Frankie, Johnnie & Luigi Too, are South Bay standards for Italian food for over 50 years. A family style restaurant with weeknight specials, Georgio's serves up classic Italian meals (including hand-thrown pizzas) that are generously portioned and reasonably-priced. Service is friendly and appropriate for its family style vibe. They have a bar with several beers on tap as well as wine and a decent selection of hard alcohol. No reservations, so plan ahead for a 30 minute wait or more during busy times. And while there is a strip mall parking lot available, it fills up fast, but there's easy street parking nearby. Worth a trip if you want classic no-nonsense food that fills you up.
Great place. Shrimp bisque was awesome. Pizza is good with a nice crispy crust. I got the New York pizza with sausage and mushrooms and it has tons of toppings, they are not stingy. My only complaint, and this is personal preference, is that there's too much cheese on the pizza and as it starts to cool a little bit the cheese just gets hard and dry. I would prefer a little less cheese and a little more sauce. Service was excellent also. Photo of the pizza with toppings.
