I love the food here. Tonight I had the pulled pork plate with coleslaw, baked beans and cornbread. The meat is cooked onsite in wood smokers out back. The portions are generous and very tasty. Most of the ribs and meat have a traditional tomato based home made barbecue sauce, but I was surprised to find that the pulled pork had a vinegar based barbecue sauce served on the side. This is Carolina style barbecue sauce which I have enjoyed in the past while traveling on the east coast which I liked. However, you have the option if the traditional sauce if that's your thing...so don't worry. The line to order gets backed up around dinner time but moves really fast. I'd say no more than 10 minutes. Nice patio with firepit. Last, but not least, let's not forget the awesome craft beer selection. 10 rotating beers on tap and a couple of large coolers stocked with craft beer. Enjoy!
PS. I saw someone served the steak salad tonight and that looked spectacular so that's my next dish to enjoy.
Good service, a friendly atmosphere, and delicious (if predictable) bbq. Note that the seating is pretty crowded when it's cold out, but there appears to be lots of outdoor table seating. Inside is lively, with families, couples, and neighborhood folks in for a beer. A fun casual dinner!
Great food in a casual atmosphere. Selection of beers on tap. Indoor or outdoor seating. Outdoor firepit. Order at the bar and they bring it to the table, pretty quickly. Will be returning
Had the 4 rib plate that comes with 2 sides and garlic bread ($15). Ribs were good. BBQ sauce also good. Really liked the potato salad. Nice texture and well seasoned with a nice hint of acidity. Beans were just as good with good chunks of beef and just a perfect touch of BBQ sweetness. I think I liked the sides more than the ribs. Had 3 great craft beers by Alvarado Street Brewery. The beer, sides, and atmosphere pushed them up to 4 stars. I will go back for more good beer and try their other meats.
Good food. We went a little late so they were out of a few things. The meat was a little dry as I assume the tri-tip was cooked hours earlier. Only 1 TV at the small bar area to watch the warriors game. It was busy for a Wednesday night, but I'd bet they would be packed if they added 2 more TVs in the seated areas. We will be back for sure to try something different on the menu.
