Mr. and Mrs. Gutierrez offer really authentic tacos, great salsas and great service! We are fans!

We get tacos here three or four times a month. Always have a great experience. Tacos are always delicious. We’ve had a few other menu items too. Everything is always great.

We like to call ahead so our order is ready when we get there.

Don’t let the truck discourage you. Food is as good as any nearby restaurant.

Often the food is fantastic. I would say your chances of getting a delicious meal at Gutierrez Autentica are very good. My complaints are that the staff has too often not seemed grateful. They do say thank you, but, that's about it. Rarely do they return small-talk/smile, we all know what a friendly waitress/er is like, and we tip them better. I'm just not sensing they are happy/grateful - that cost them one star. If the food was a bargain, I'd say to myself "whatever" and go enjoy.. Which brings me to my second, and main complaint that food truck prices, in general, are too high (I say that not just about Gutierrez, but about most food trucks in the area, they all charge near restaurant prices). Gutierrez Autentica surely has expenses, such as lot space rent, insurance, a small payroll, permit fees, and perhaps a loan on the trailer (it's not even a truck, it's a trailer, so reduced upkeep, insurance and DMV fees -- commercial truck fees and insurance are killer! ). Food trucks may have large, unobvious expenses I am unaware of, but perhaps you will share my view that food trucks that charge restaurant prices are not a good value when you consider that a block away from Gutierrez, for example, is Adelita's Mexican restaurant, with a staff of 15+, dining tables, paying rent on a $1+ million dollar retail space, colossal insurance bills, security, workers comp, equipment, laundry, water, sewer, CAM fees, regulators clawing at them for compliance and fees for things like health/fire/ADA etc... -- My math says Adelita's non-COGS expenses are conservatively five times that of Gutierrez's to run her/his trailer kitchen, yet the prices for food items are quite similar. Am I looking at this wrong? Should I be saying these things about food trucks? What would happen to Gutierrez Autentica if they dropped their prices to a level that reflected their inherent economic advantage over nearby restaurants? I think we would lose some local mom and pop restaurants - I don't like that. But honestly I do not know what would happen. I'd eat out more for one thing, but my honest, not-to-be-confused-with-expertise guess is that word would spread and Ms. Gutierrez would prosper as her volume increased, as she seized market share. She would be ordering new trailer kitchens, buying radio spots, and negotiating space leases with other gas station locations. Maybe not... Food for thought ( but my expenses are low, so it's free)

    favorite taco place!
love the carne asada tacos. They’re always super flavorful and juicy!
Radishes and limes come with the tacos and the salsas are delicious!
