It's about as typical of a Vietnamese place as you can get. The one thing was that the service was actually really good. Server was very friendly and attentive. Not at all normal for Vietnamese.
Bun bo hue was only fair. Grilled pork was a bit sweet for my liking and could use a bit more char. Vietnamese coffee was good.
Pricing is typical.
Bun Bo and Banh Beo are the best! Bun Bo here is better than the Hue restaurant nearby. Great service. Friendly staff.
BBH is a bit off without shrimp paste flavor but has the option with rare beef and pork knuckle. The pork chop on the rice plate is tasty
I started my meal with the iconic Vietnamese spring rolls, which were incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. The delicate balance of textures and the accompanying dipping sauce enhanced the experience, making it a perfect appetizer. Next, I delved into a hearty bowl of Bún Bò Geò Heo, a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup. the rice noodles were cooked just right. The tender slices of beef, pork and the medley of fresh herbs provided a delightful combination of flavors that left me craving for more.
The staff provided outstanding service, making my dining experience all the more enjoyable 😊.
Tried the Bun Bo. The broth very easy and tasteful to the pallet. It's on par with the taste from Ca Mau from back in the days. I will be returning to try their other dishes.
