This place houses the first establishment in California. Yes, San Jose was the first city to be inhabited in California.
It has open and closed settings servicing pizza, pasta, boba tea, momos, Vietnamese pho and Peruvian food too.
Go an enjoy a variety of beer and Kombucha.
We stopped by and tried a couple of the ceviches and a shrimp causa. They looked appealing and each had a unique taste. I expect the seafood to be the star of a ceviche dish and all three dishes seemed to be lacking with this. I may go back and try a main dish, but the ceviche was just not what I was expecting
tasty ceviche! i’ve never had it in tiger’s milk and this way before. it was a delight and i loved every ingredient in the bowl! so fresh, esp the fish. i wish we have a place like this back home. i’ve never seen this type of ceviche anywhere until now.
This place has been on my radar for a long time and finally today I was able to try it.
I had the vegan entree (sautéed seasonal veggies, grilled chimichurri tofu, Peruvian white rice, potato fries, uchu hot sauce trio). My friend enjoyed seafood rice (scallops, shrimp, catch of the day, creamy Peruvian bisque rice, parmesan, green peas, piperade) and we shared Chicha morada (a drink made from purple corn, fresh lime juice, cinnamon, star anise, clove, simple syrup) and of course dessert: ½ Mazamorra + ½ Rice pudding
Everything was DELICIOUS! And yes, even the tofu on the Vegan entree was flavorful. The big surprise: Chicha morada, please give this drink a try.
The staff is super friendly and explains each component of the dish and the waiting time: nothing, especially when you can see that everything is made at the moment you order, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients.
So if you want to try something different, flavorful, and new, go there!
Delicious Peruvian food in San Pedro square market.
Everything was very well seasoned and fish was fresh. We really enjoyed every single dish! Ceviche was yummy and authentic, seafood rice was creamy and the seafood on top was well cooked. And the dessert was perfect end! I love rice pudding and this one was one of the best I have tasted! Mazamorra was very flavorful!
Highly recommend this place! Will definitely come back plus the outdoor seating was pleasant. Came here on Thursday around 5pm and there was plenty of available seats that were cleaned after each guest.
