Absolutely amazing small mom and pop shop. Excellent customer service every time. They are always on point, items are always fresh. The line can get long but totally worth the wait.
Favorite Items I Recommend:
Michelagua- fresh fruit water with real fruit mix, candy stick, topped with chamoy and Tajin.
Manzana Loca (crazy apple)- homemade chamoy covered apple w/ natural fruit of your choice, topped with chamoy and Tajin.
Fresh Fruit- fruit of your choice topped with chamoy, lime, Tajin, and Valentina hot sauce.
Fresh Ice cream- you can get cream based or water based ice-cream (cone, waffle cone, or cup).
Fresh fruit juice (agua fresca)- they have a variety of flavors (e.g, strawberry, mango, cucumber/chia, watermelon, pineapple (seasonal only).
Corn on cob or in cup- topped with your choice of crumbled cheese, mayonnaise, Tajin, or hot cherries.
I love to support small family owned businesses. This place is awesome.
The best neveria to go to in San Jose! Staff is very attentive and super efficient, there is barely any wait times other than when it gets busy since it is a local favorite. The manager Andres is extremely professional, and treated us right. I would suggest trying their Manzana Loca, you will not regret it. Will be a a regular here!
Several people greeted us as we came in. Behind the counter, they were preparing a huge pile of fresh corn and chopping dried fruit. The woman who took our ice cream order was so nice to my kids as they sampled different flavors. There are many delicious options. We especially liked Angel Kisses and Mixed Dried Fruit.
Best Mexican Paleteria in San José!
If you come on the weekends they usually have a big line but weekdays are more empty.
They have a variety of ice creams and paletas, my favorite is coco de agua and Fresa. They also have a lot of Mexican chips that you can ask to add in your snacks.
A little downtown side but has parking! They only take cash so bring some. So much things to try but loved what we had! Ordered some mangonadas and fruit with tajin.
