Lee's Sandwiches

Great place for vietnamese fast food and fresh baked baguettes

Delicious food and staff are very friendly. The auntie that work there say that i look like a baby so she'll help me pick out the fresh food. By far the best lee sandwiches i been too.

Normally when I go to Lee's I order a couple packs of their BBQ pork and Shrimp spring rolls (my wife's favorite). The one in downtown San Jose makes them fresh for me also the Cupertino store also hooks them up when I order them. Keep in mind it's a special order because I really don't like the idea of picking through packages on the shelf that has pork and shrimp that who knows how long it's been there. Time and content is not a good combination in this case. So I go to this King Rd location with the mind set of yes there's one here let me stop in and grab some... I come in excited to hook the wife up and get in line and order them how I like. The lady (owner/manager type) tells me "no we don't have that"... I say everywhere else they make them for me... why not? She says "we don't have that"... I say " okay you put that on a #6 BBQ pork sandwich why do you say you don't have it?" Then i ask again for them to please do it and they flat out say no we won't. I'm looking like I'm the crazy white guy ordering something they "can't do". So I tell the lady why don't you just say you don't want to do it? She kinda nodded and agreed I was right and I ended up leaving with something instead of wasting a trip. I really loved seeing a HUGE selection of items (not like other stores I've seen). I would have given 4 stars if they could have given me what I really wanted... but she left me not wanting to return because I can't get what I really want. I'm happy to know I have a few Lee's sandwiches I can do to instead of this location. I would still recommend this place but only if it's not a special request like my case.

The original Lee's in the bay. The service is friendly and fast. The food, for convenience food, tastes good. With the rise in living cost the price is still considered reasonable for the category and the area. They also have a large variety of offerings. I took 1 star off for the slightly higher price. I said reasonable not competitive. The portions are decent but not large for the price but it's tasty so overall you still get a good value for the food.

Their Vietnamese Sandwiches are a staple of San Jose..! A MUST TRY for any visitor! They have a variety of snacks and also pork buns for only $1 and big ones for $3..! 5 stars for sure.
