Super Dish is a newly open casual restaurant inside the mall. It draws a very popular crowd among the older Chinese patrons. We’ve managed to dine there a couple of times. And while some of the authentic dishes are flavorful, others fall flat.
We enjoy quality Chinese food and so, was hoping that this new establishment would be our prime go-to spot. Many of the unique dishes are spicy but you can request to adjust the heat temperature to mild and medium.
The service is quick and they’re very friendly. The prices are reasonable for the Bay Area. But like many Chinese cuisines, some of the dishes appear slightly greasy, but that’s where the flavor really comes from.
Parking is plentiful as it’s surrounded by free, open mall parking. It’s located directly across from 99 Ranch market, so a convenient space to shop for groceries afterwards.
Service was extremely quick and friendly. Food was also delicious and enjoyed that it had a good kick to some of the dishes. However, the portion sizes/protein included are way too small for what they cost. Spent just above $100 for two people and we finished our food (spicy squid (had very little squid, mostly celery and bell peppers), pork ribs (lots of bone little meat) and noodles with beef) and did not feel overly full. Typically we would have some leftover when ordering 3 dishes.
Finally a good respectable restaurant with authentic Sichuan flavors. The "Husband & wife lung slices" is called Mr & Mrs Smith. It is a dish that will speak to the authenticity of the sauces. It is good at this place. Good to see that they are using snakehead fillets for the "Water Boiled Fish". Perfect fish choice and helping to get rid of invasive species. Definitely the best Sichuan food in the South Bay.
We were impressed by the gleaming walls and the shiny cutlery and the food was good too! The hot and sour soup lacked salt which impacted its tartness. The soy sauce chicken fried rice was simple yet robust with wonderful flavors. The deep-fried chicken with peppers and peanuts was a real flavor explosion and the portion was very generous.
Had lunch today with my friend and omg was it finger licking good! Let’s start with the fact that the place is adorable super cute. The menu is extensive and love the pics too! Ordering is so easy and the fact that I could add more spicy to my spicy dishes was such a great bonus! They were super friendly and attentive. Food came out flying and just great presentation. And the taste out of This world. I’m from the east coast so I have been dying to find a good Chinese spot and this is the winner! I will def be returning and bringing friends!!!
