Trader Vic's

Ate here during a flight delay. Not a bad place to kill some time, large selection of tropical drinks including mock tails. Teriyaki salmon was over seasoned, the rice a little too much water, mac salad was good with light mayonnaise, good amount of ham, carrots, onions and pineapple. The ham and egg press was a hit with my son. Potato chips were warm and crispy.

The staff were extremely kind and quick. The food was okay. We shared the crispy chicken katsu. We live in Hawaii and have never come across this version of chicken katsu. The tiki drinks are very good, but definitely airport prices.

I really love the drinks at Trader Vic’s. I always stop in if I have extra time flying out of or into SJC because I enjoy the drinks that much. I haven’t been disappointed with the drinks yet, and the bar is a great place to hang out. The prices have gone up a lot just in the past few months (in most cases $3 increase), I’m sure due to inflation and everything but dang… all of the main specialty cocktails are now $18.38, so with tax one drink will set you back $20.11.
Luckily they are delicious and a good size! Nice for an occasional treat.
Service has always been good for me.
I haven’t had any food yet so cannot comment :-)

I got this @8:00pm and for airport food, this was a good choice. The avocado was not good and I don’t recommend eating it. I took that and the egg out.
The Poke itself was good and tasted more fresh than I would’ve expected. Mangos we’re good.
The lettuce wasn’t very good.

This cost me $23

You know airport food can be trash because it’s so fast. My Tuna Poke Bowl was packed with flavor and it was so filling without making you feel gross. Recommend 100% for those who are on the fence. It does help that their drinks are equally good as the meal.
