Birk's

Ate a Birk's one night after work and sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lively and classic. I had the filet with the creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and a glass of wine. Overall it was a good experience, and I enjoyed the food, but the price was that of a premier steakhouse and there are better options out there. If you are looking for an easy solid place to have a steak Birk's isn't going to let you down, but it isn't going to wow you either.

This classic old silicon valley iconic power lunch restaurant went through a bit of a slump in years past, but I'm happy to report that they've returned to their pinnacle. The streak was awesome, the atmosphere energetic but classy. Over of my favorite dishes is the pepper steak. You can substitute sauteed spinach for the crammed spinach if you're concerned about calories or milk.

This place is the Silicon Valley spot. You can overhear half a dozen venture capital and bankruptcy discussions here in the same night. The food is consistently excellent and the service is top drawer. The bar is the best stocked in the area. Not cheap.

The paella is delicious but not actually anything like real paella. Is creamy and delicious seafood and sausage over pasta. What's not to like in that?

Really well prepared, simple meat and veg dishes. The artichoke dip appetizer was creamy and delicious. Both the blanched spinach and creamed spinach were tasty. All in all a great meal.

The ambiance is great and I knew the moment I walked in that this was going to be a great experience. This place was packed to the gills so I was concerened that perhaps the service wouldn't be up-to-par, but I was pleasantly surprised by the superior level of service we received! Our server has been working at the restaurant for 19 years and was funny, attentive and pleasant. We tried several things on the menu and I was blown away that everything was magnificent! And the wine list is also quite impressive. I will definitely return!
