Mini Taiyaki Cafe

The place seems sketchy as it's in the back of a hair salon. I'm not a fan of the walnuts in the red bean taiyaki. Overall, the taikyaki is alright, but the location is questionable.

Crispy on the outside, warm, soft and gooey on the inside. These fish shaped pastries filled with either custard or red bean fillings are amazing. I am so glad they have relocated and that I have found them again.
I first discovered these taiyakis inside the mitsuwa marketplace when they had a pop up. I've been hooked ever since. In my opinion, both the red bean and custard fillings are good, so try them both!

A little hard to find, but totally worth it.

It's in a salon and doesn't have it's own sign on the plaza marquee, so we had a bit of a hard time finding it the first time.

Once you do, though, delicious crispy taiyaki await you. Think waffles with sweet filling, but not too sweet.

It takes about ten minutes to make a fresh batch, so you may want to call ahead if you aren't also getting your hair done.
