Upper Crust Pizza & Pasta

My lower review is based on the food. Specifically, I found the pizza to be nothing close to Sicilian pizza or anything really Italian. I ordered the vegetarian square, thick-crust pizza. It took longer than I expected to come out despite it not be too busy but I figured that was due to the thicker crust cook time. The actual pizza was a wet, excessively cheesey piece of bread. There was way to much cheese and a lot of liquid in general. I actually thought there was possibly milk on the pizza because there was that much cheese-liquid soup on it.
That being said, the service was very good. My waiter was very attentive and everyone I interacted with was polite; so that is probably the only reason I have not given upper crust a 1 star review.

We ordered buffalo chicken wings, pesto spaghetti, and a half Hawaiian half cheese pizza.The wings were good. They’re definitely something you should try. The pesto was... alright. It tasted a wee bit too salty for my liking, and the pasta was over cooked. The pizza was not something that I’d want to go back for, since it was a bit too cheesy and the crust felt a little burnt. The service was nice, and they made our order with haste. Overall I’d say it’s an 8/10 place. Food is not memorable, but service is good.

The pizza wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. The service was EXCELLENT! Very CUTE and CLEAN place!

Decided to try this place while in Santa Cruz. I haven't had service like this in A LONG TIME! Sydney was so good I was convinced she thought we were secret shopping her. It wasn't until another server passed us with the same great attitude and politeness that I realized this place is LEGIT. KUDOS to your servers and trainers. Don't ever lose that! The food was delicious! Definitely recommend!

Came in for lunch with our 2 and 3-year-old. It was very kid friendly, the staff was nice, but the pizza... We got a 1/2 plain cheese, 1/2 Hawaiian pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. The pineapple tasted fresh and the cheese was amazing. It also wasn't chunks of ham and pineapple; it was big slices of pineapple and deli sliced ham. I'd definitely come here again.
