Amanda, our waitress, was fantastic. She knew her menu well, made recommendations that were so perfect as to be supernatural, and was at the table precisely when needed and never there when she wasn't. The food was fantastic. If I have a complaint; I was a little unsettled walking up to a fine dining experience in the post office parking lot.
Lillian's is a fine dining restaurant where you ought to have a reservation or you will end up having over an hour wait very easily. We wanted to check out a new place and just walked in to this restaurant and it took us 1 he 10 min of wait before being seated at the table. Once you get seated the food and customer service will make you forget that wait. The taste the freshness of food is every bit worth it. The fact that my kids enjoyed the food as much as I did puts sort of a seal, for me, on the amazing quality of food thos restaurant offers.
There was a long wait to be seated, but the food was decent when we got it. The Caesar salad was good. Also got the truffle gnocchi which was really light and fluffy, and had a great truffle flavor. We got the chicken parm too which was pretty basic, but still good. The portions here are big, and we couldn’t finish everything in the end. This place is not as good as the reviews make it seem, but still a decent Italian place in Santa Cruz
We have been coming to Lillian's for some time now, even before they moved into the new location. The food is always on point and never disappoints. Recommend a reservation, they get pretty busy and once you take a bite you will know why the line can be long. We were celebrating a birthday this night and we were very happy with everything, as usual. The food and service are both very good and consistent.
Local restaurant with classy flair yet rustic ambience. I had the special, lamb bolognese. Lamb was tender, rich with flavor, pasta was hand made and cooked perfectly, not too saucy. Wait staff is attentive and cheerful. We got there early, around 4:30p on a Saturday night because we didn't have reservations. We'll definitely go back again in the future.
