Excellent food, house made pasta, as well as imported from Italy options. Our waiter was personable, attentive and knowledgeable. Great imported wine selection. I ordered the chioppino and it was full of tender seafood in a mildly spicy sauce. Dessert was outstanding as well. A little on the noisy side, but a gem of a restaurant in Santa Cruz!

Delicious food, prompt and friendly service. Prices reasonable. Wine list limited but well selected. It's noisy and bustling. Good news for popularity, not so much for a quiet dinner for 4. Come early, beat the rush, enjoy wonderful food, and go to another venue for the serious talk.

Mixed review on this... The first time we went, the food was great and our waitress was amazing and attentive and we gave her a big tip. We proclaimed this place as our new go-to digs as it's the closest to flavorful Italian food that we've been able to find since visiting Italy - even the capers are imported. However, the second time we went, we were greeted and seated by the same waitress but this time she was horrible and acted like we didn't exist. She stopped by our table once in the beginning, but then spent most of her time tending to the table of 2 directly next to us, chatting and checking in with them, bringing them goodies, and breezing past us without even making eye contact. We sat there alone and alienated, without water or bread for a long time. We tried to flag her down, but it felt like she was deliberately avoiding eye contact and talking to us. IT WAS SO WEIRD, and we started to wonder if we had offended her somehow. We saw another waitress doing an outstanding job entertaining another table and wished someone would pay us a visit like that. We were only visited by the shy, timid bus girl who eventually brought us waters and bread (after we asked) and eventually our meals. We were so disappointed and haven't been back since.
