This is a very nice casual and friendly restaurant. A very nice selection of salads, pizza and some appetizers. Nice wine offerings. Open prep kitchen in the main area. Nice bar, friendly servers. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Bustling on a weeknight. Popular with locals. Prices were good. I had the pizza with marinara. It was very good.
This is a must for anyone that wants great food with a one of a kind menu. I've never eaten at a place like it and will eat there everytime I leave Southern California. Actually, I now moved up to the Bay Area, just to be closer to this restaurant and staff. It was worth it! Great service and great food EVERY TIME! The chef’s always surprise me and I will eat here EVERY time in Santa Cruz.
Why over priced. Over $100 for two, only one flash of wine. High quality food but left there hungry. We'll know what to expect next time... yes we'd go back! But for a special occasion, not casual Thursday night dinner haha
We had dinner at this restaurant. It was very good. we had a little bit of a wait at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night but not too bad. The atmosphere is rustic industrial and a little noisy. The waitstaff was polite and friendly.
We had their specialty fried chicken and it is outstanding. I've actually never tasted something like it. It was serving a bed of pinto beans and some wonderful sauce. We also have the halibut which was excellent but the portion was very small. we had the pickled cauliflower for an appetizer and it was outstanding. I had a glass of tempranillo and my husband had a really tasty dark lager. Well this restaurant is expensive, the food is worth it.
Amazing food and drinks-- my search for the best pizza in Santa Cruz is over! Loved the locally harvested mushrooms on my pizza, and the fact that all bread and dough is made in house. Plus our waitress was extremely knowledgeable on the tricky food-connoisseur menu wording!
