“I really like the buffet here. Everything is fresh and delicious. Even the goat curry, which I've only seen on the buffet once was delicious. Bear in mind that I had a bad experience eating goat as a child, so this stuff was so good it actually changed my mind. The place is small and well decorated. It is a lot better than Sitar, the Indian restaurant down the street user to be. Santa Cruz is better off without Sitar. The curry is thick and well spiced - though not particularly spicy. The Tandoori chicken is plentiful and moist. The naan is hot and crisp, and the veggies fresh and plentiful, if not super varied. I really like this place. You might too.”

“This is the first place I have ever eaten at twice while on a vacation. Such a nice vibe, easy place to be and amazing food. They had some super chocolatey dessert that was one of my favorite desserts ever. My wife and I daydream about this place often.”

“Food and drinks aren't that great (bangers and mash was pretty good and my husband liked the quesadilla but I didn't). The service is good and friendly and it's a cool concept with a fantastic atmosphere. They have happy hours as well and events on different nights of the week (including board game night etc). It's a good place for hanging out but I would eat somewhere else or just get sharing foods.”

“This was my first job and they have given me so many opportunities to grow and get promoted! In addition to that, I have some of the best memories meeting my now best friends, working summer nights with the lights and music, and having fun learning to make things like Funnel Cakes. It is honestly the best job ever and everyone I have worked with here has agreed. PLUS, they made it very easy to still work while having a full AP schedule, playing year round waterpolo, and still having a social life. Take advantage of every chance they give you here! It’ll be an experience that you’ll remember forever.”

“World Grill has some decent food options and friendly staff. The one thing that keeps my return business is I've never had food poisoning at their booth. Sounds like a small thing, but I appreciate the consistency. If you're looking for somewhere to eat and are unsure of where to start, go here.”

“What I I imagined this tasting like was a million times better than what I bit into. I know taste is an subjective thing so if you like it then enjoy, but to me it tasted like a cream filled corndog. Not exactly the sweet donut-esqe flavor I had my taste buds prepped for.”

“If you like Italian-ish seafood fair and enjoy outdoor dining this may be your place. My crab omelette was great. Lots of crab. Our waiter was young and authentically friendly. The coffee was good and fresh. Personally I would have given it five stars if it were indoors or at least shielded from the wind and had umbrellas on some of the tables. But this place is perfect for families with kids.”

“Whenever family or friends come into town and are looking for a special dining experience, we suggest The Crow's Nest. After several visits, we have never been disappointed and most often our guests leave raving about the food, location and service. Such was the case when our party of six, including two teenagers, thoroughly enjoyed a delightful dinner. The menu is beyond compare, as is the food and presentation. The restaurant overlooks the Santa Cruz Small Craft Harbor. Request a window seating, and you will not be disappointed. Did I mention the service is outstanding? Enjoy.”

“Over all, customer service and hospitality was okay. The servers were great when asking about refreshments and chips and salsa. Our server was very occupied as it seemed she was the only one working. FOOD was served at a timely fashion and was fabulous. The seasoning was perfect, I saw no grease in my bacon which I absolutely appreciated. - Biscuits & gravy - The M’s Favorite - The English Muffin Would definitely recommend.”

“This is an awesome sushi and sushi related things walkup kinda sorta near the twin lakes beach. It's not really a restaurant-there are no waiters and no tables, but there is a cooler with drinks , bento , and magnificent prepared sushi ready to go. Perfect for beach takeaways .”

“No one should miss a pit stop at the Windmill while visiting Santa Cruz. Your host Mary is just the sweetest and the other employees pretty much match her disposition. It's like a "home"made experience with the convenience of a restaurant. The croissant veggie sandy is my favorite. This lovely cafe accommodates vegetarians and the like very well. Small tip: if you order a bagel and you want it toadted, just ask. It's worth the wait.”

“BETTY'S Burgers on 41st Avenue has free parking, Great service, vegetarian burgers also. The branch downtown on Pacific Garden mall cannot seem to give me NON-PINK burgers, although they claim I've been coming for Many months. Don't like sending burgers back for the ORIGINAL order of well/medium well done. Young female supervisor can REALLY get rude (behind her smiles). The branch on 41st has VERY congenial (& gets your order CORRECT), friendly, & fast serving staff , along with MORE space for sitting, especially with children.”
