“It's my first time at the boardwalk, I walked in expecting a pizza slice similar to the slices you get at Venice Beach, but walked out so full because I underestimate their portions! It was really good, they have pizza slices for cheese & pepperoni and other than those two they have a "make your own" or "specialty" pizzas. Our waitress was very attentive and even changed a screen for us to be able to watch a hockey game. There is indoor, beach/boardwalk view and outdoor seating. They have a bar with a nice selection, happy hour, kids selection and they have dessert available (which is also right next door!)”

“Great as always. We went on Tuesday night the, locals night. And for now you get a 2-hour pass for parking to encourage you to shop on the cute stores that are all on the wharf. My favorite meal is the calamari which is always done perfectly and their bread and butter of course. My friends dish is the salmon with different sauces you can choose from, a tasty rice with mixed vegetables. We always sit window-side even if we have to wait, to watch the surfing, birds, boats and scenery. The serve staff are friendly and efficient, even if you have special requests. As you walk in they have a place that you can order gelato, The full bar is on your right. The the restaurant is decorated tastefully, great atmosphere. They have paintings from local artists that change frequently, nice selections. Bathrooms are small but clean. The prices are reasonable, good selection, with lunch and daily specials. Walk by the other places and try this out, then shop for awhile and enjoy the Wharf.”

“This place has been here since at least the 80s when I was a student at UCSC. They are still knocking out old faves like taquitos with vaguely guacamole sauce on top. Add a splash of their spicy red sauce from the squeeze bottle to kick the flavors up a notch. The food won’t win any awards but it’s pretty tasty and if you’re hankering for simple Mexican food near the boardwalk, head on over to Las Palmas.”

“This restaurant used to be the Royal Taj and now it is Maharaja. I started going to the Royal Taj in 2010, and I don't notice any difference in the restaurant since it changed names but I am not sure if there is a change or not to be honest, I haven't really looked for change. The food has always been on point and has always been very consistent. Their lunch buffet is great and always seems fresh. They have a few delicious beers too... sometimes the service is patchy, if you go during the lunch buffet hours they might not give you guidance or come take your drink order. This is the only reason for not having 5 stars, along with their weird hours... but the staff is always friendly... I think they just need some training. I would always call before coming here because they have strange hours, they close during the day after lunch and then reopen again for dinner. I will continue to come to this local gem often! Much better than hindquarters across the street!”
