Carl's Jr.

Prominently located at a busy intersection but is never as crowded as the McDonald's at the other end of town. The McDonald's gets quite crowded at times with a line, but in the few times I've eaten at Carl's, I've never seen that happen. The hamburgers are tasty and better than any at McDonald's, and they have a few healthy salad options too. Carl's gets extra points for the Certified Vegan Beyond Burger® patty that's available for $2 extra on any burger menu item. There's an American flag ("United We Stand") in the front window, and the ownership has a right wing background, and I mostly go elsewhere even though this is the closest fast food restaurant. For example, you can go in the nearby Scotts Valley Market and get great cooked deli items in the same price range, and I'd rather to that.

Beyond burge was great! Vegans, make sure to ask for "no special sauce"

I have been going there off and on since they replaced Wendy's at that location. The burgers are very good. I tried the Beyond Burger which is their new plant-based patty. I really couldn't tell the difference between that and a regular beef patty. The drive thru service is always pretty tight. I'll have to hit it more often since that's the only one around.

So we found out Carl's Jr has the #Beyondburger so we went for some. Only reason I'm not giving them 5/5 is because the burger patties were just barely cooked. All in all, still had a good lunch/dinner. ???? This place is always clean and welcoming and the employees are super rad!

I'm not a fan of fast food, however I visited Carl's jr in Scott's valley a few times months ago and I wasn't very happy. I decided to give them another chance 2 days ago. I was amazed the place looked spotless, employees were nice and the food was fresh and great!!!! I'm not sure if they have a new manager but I noticed a big difference.
