This location has changed hands a few times since the previous owner retired. The current owner is doing a great job and I have had great experiences; good food and friendly service.

Love the spacing. Love the food. Love the people! Perfect weekend outting. A true gem of scotts valley hidden in plain sight.

Probably the best breakfast I've had. The ham was smoky and plentiful. The potatoes were well-seasoned. Also, 10/10 would recommend their bacon waffle that my wife ate incredibly fast, only giving me one savory bite.

Scotts Valley Cafe is in the location of the former Mollie's -- a restaurant everyone loved but which closed last year. An enterprising young man, Jerry, who had always dreamed of opening his own restaurant, opened Scotts Valley Cafe in August of this year and, from the start, he was getting rave reviews.

Wanting to know if it was a good as everyone was saying, we took some out-of-town guests there this morning for breakfast and, WOW, we were amazed!! First of all, we found out that some of his chefs are from the Silver Spur (if you're local, you know how popular that place is) and they certainly bring the best of their abilities to Scotts Valley Cafe. The menu is diverse with both breakfast and lunch being offered. Our hash browns were browned and crispy, the eggs done to perfection and the portions quite hefty. I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict at the recommendation of our server and they were fantastic. The Hollendaise Sauce was light and delicately flavored and the eggs were poached as they should be -- dropped in water so they remain very fluffy and light. We made a point of letting the staff know how pleased we were and promised we will be back. After all, there are so many more dishes to try!!
