Imura Japanese Restaurant

It's hard to tell if you really love a good restaurant because it's fantastic food or you just love the service, atmosphere, and the owners. Imura is usually the choice when we want sushi, and I believe the only choice in Watsonville if you are in the mood for some Korean. The Korean side of the menu is small, but a few things to warm you up on a chilly Central Coast evening! A bit pricey, but I'm reminded often that everything in California is way more expensive. My spouse and I drop, on average, around $80 there. That's a couple of rolls and a couple of beers. The homemade kimchi is really good, but I love all the sides coming out with the Korean dishes. Order any roll, you won't be disappointed.

The absolute best sushi I have ever had. The fish is so fresh, it's like nothing I have ever had before. My husband and I make a point to go at least once a week. The employees are always cheerful, we always have a great experience at Imuras.

This place has a fun neighborhood vibe. A great drinks and bites spot, they have an amazing array of sushi rolls, traditional and adventurous. The sushi is fresh and well presented. This place is excellent for a casual date. It gets packed for dinner, so if you're only two, pull up to the bar instead (it's open seating). We order big, ice cold bottles of sapporo, hot sake, and rolls and rolls loaded with yummy toppings.

And they have Marianne's 1020 ice cream deep fried for dessert! Smelled like a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie or brownie right our of the oven !

Incredible sushi and great staff! Sat at the bar and Jim and Bryan were friendly and excellent sushi chefs. It was our first time and they made us feel right at home! Best sushi in the county in my husband and my opinion.
