Gaia Hotel & Spa Redding, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member

It’s a very cozy place to stay. I always stay here when I go to Redding because it’s the best place for my dog. I will return over and over again but the service left a lot to be desired. For instance, I stepped on something sharp and called the front desk to get tweezers or something to disinfect but there were no tweezers (no big deal) and the person at the front desk couldn’t send anyone over with anything else because she said that she was working alone. Anyways, the place is nice overall, the service is not great.

Nice setting and very well maintained with good landscaping. Had issue with crack in sink and broken leg on a desk. Reception had no idea when they put us there I guess? No one seem to check rooms prior to use?? Not sure what happen? Reception said they have it fixed.

We enjoyed our stay here! It’s a beautiful property and my kids loved the pool.

Bring a hat if sitting pool side there isn’t much shade. The restaurant is a little pricey but convenient, there’s not a lot of restaurant options in Anderson.

My only complaint is the batteries in our fire alarm were dying, so at 2:30 in the morning it started beeping it felt like every 20 minutes so that wasn’t awesome! I told the front desk the next morning and he didn’t even apologize just said he would let the maintenance man know.

I was contacted by management by the issues we had with the fire alarm and for that they get upgraded to a 5 star!

Attention to details. Only not so great was the TV, lowest volume is still pretty loud, plus the TVs are small.
With that out of the way, this is a great hotel. Design merged into the environment, located next to river, majority of rooms are easy access, yet wide space around the buildings.
Rooms are good size, taking advantage of the circular pattern. Chances are you will get a walk out patio. Good size fridge and a microwave!
Love the color palette. Natural lighting in the bathroom. Very clean. Nice touch of California.
