While traveling we needed food after visiting the Redding Elks Lodge we found Karma’s House of Spirits. Susan was great and the food was awesome. I had the Cubano and was very satisfied. I think the lighting could e way better, but now I’m reaching. A definite must.
I love the updated look and feel of the old sports bar. A much needed overhaul of this place, inviting atmosphere fun fresh decor and signs make this a nice place to hangout on those oh so hot days. The food was pretty amazing! They can lettuce wrap burgers and sandwiches for those that are gluten free. We had the nachos, they home make the corn tortilla chips (which are so crispy delicious) and the cheese sauce which is gluten free also(sorry for the small photo of nachos they were Soo good I almost forgot to take a picture of them lol) The parmesan garlic fries with the chipotle aioli is Soo good. Happy hour all day on Sundays, I have to say for 4 people with 2 drinks each and the snacks it was very reasonable! 2 Pool tables, and multiple TVs, I only wish they still had darts cause that's my favorite. But we really liked this place a lot.
I was visiting redding for the first time for a business conference that ran later than I expected. When I searched for food nearby, I was surprised to see Karma's was still open. Being starved all day from not getting to eat, I decided to try their largest burger, the Junkyard.
It did not disappoint, and it was huge. Came with pulled pork, pastrami and a huge patty. I was served by Susan, the owner, who was very friendly and pleasant to have a conversation with. The place is very nice, and I will come back on my next trip to try other menu items.
Went to karma's after seeing it mentioned on Facebook. The place was very clean and modern. Good menu and good prices. My wife loved her meat loaf sliders. I had the karma cheese burger. My burger was above average. Bun was good but it could have either used two meat patties or a little more sauce (which I could have asked for of course). I upgraded to the garlic parmesan fries and was glad I did. They were tasty. I would definitely go back and try some other stuff of the menu. Seems like a good place to go with a group, play some pool, listen to music, eat some some food.
