“FD has this delicious blackberry blonde ale that I just cannot get enough if. Other beers are pretty good as well. Wait staff is always pleasant and everything I’ve eaten there is yummy. This is a good spot to hang out, as it’s not too loud and crowded. They do close early so if you want to be out past 11, you have to go elsewhere. I highly recommend!”

“Wonderful service...very small, expect to wait, but there is a nice, long, old-school bar to enjoy cocktails while you wait. Monday is a good day to go because many people mistakenly think they are closed on Mondays. Bartender makes great drinks. Menu is just about what they do best...steaks! I had the 16 oz New York. It was almost 2 inches thick! Nicely seared, pink to red in the center. I think my idea of medium rare is their medium. No worries, though. As long as the meat doesn't move or start talking to me, I can eat and enjoy it. (Although I was very tempted by the fried chicken...may go back for that soon). Atmosphere is very supper club-ish. Hostess is dressed to the nines. Lighting is very dim, which gives a feeling of great intimacy in a room full of people. Had to experience Jack's while I was here ... So glad I did!”

It would be nice if there was a bit more soundproofing in the party room, as the music and singing can become overwhelming and you aren't able to hear the people next to you speaking. “Clean, clean, clean! Red, black and white color scheme throughout the interior and not overly cluttered with decor. Friendly service and delicious food! My corned beef hash had the option of biscuits and gravy instead of toast! The large, fluffy biscuits with perfectly seasoned gravy were so filling that they were a meal by themselves! The portions of everything were very generous. The bottomless coffee was very good and not watered down. Multiple ladies checked on us, including after the food was brought out. The exterior, including the large parking lot, was litter-free and swept. The restaurant was packed and it seemed like many were regulars, a great sign of a successful eatery. My new favorite breakfast and lunch spot in Redding!”

“Stayed in Redding 3 nights, went to Moonstone twice. Service great and food amazing. Over the two meals we had the fish tacos, tuna casserole and the big salad with avocado (2x). The champagne dressing is a dream. Everything top notch and portions well worth the money spend, really surprised how much fish we got with our meals. Changing wine list with good selection! I’d highly recommend this place if you look for something different than your average brewpub or Mexican restaurant.”
