I stumbled upon this Black Bear Diner without even realizing that it's the first one that's even been opened. It's a delightful dining experience. Wintertime the views are beautiful and this place feels cozy and welcoming. The service is fantastic and the food was delicious.
Don’t miss the opportunity to stop here at the original Black Beat Diner in Mount Shasta. Best home cooked breakfast you’ll find anywhere. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The decor is homey and cute. Food portion sizes are huge and prices just right!
We finally managed to get the original Black Bear Diner location, that spun off the newer branches in different cities. We visited this place twice, once for dinner and the next morning for breakfast! We were that impressed :)
We ordered lots of dishes, pancakes, waffles, vegetarian omelette ( Made with egg and not a vegan option, if you are wondering) Portion sizes are huge and perfect for sharing. Garnishings and presentation of the food was top notch too. Each dish has the calorific value as well. The staff is extremely friendly, and dont hesitate to let me know if you need to customize your order.
Good place for a quick pit stop if you are driving on I5, this place is right off the exit.
Fantastic service, huge portions & great location; No black bears though ;) - We were greeted by a warm & welcoming staff, was a great touch after a day of driving / hiking. Located close to Mt. Shasta camping or hiking trails, make for a great pit stop either before or after your adventures for the day. Definitely worth stopping by & experiencing the legendary diner! No black bears though (dad joke, ha ha) Highly recommend this place!!
Great ambience and tasty food. The portion sizes are huge. The sweet potato fries are really great. Located with a great view of Mt.Shasta , this is the original Black Bear Diner. Would definitely recommend to take a stop here if you are in a road trip.
We had Veggie omelette, chicken and waffle and eggs and pie.
