I'd consider this place to be at least 4 starts several years ago, but they changed the way they make the pizzas. I always got meat lover's pizza and it's have oil drip to the bottom and was absolutely delicious!

I ordered the new York recently and it was good but not how it used to be.

I'm embarrassed to admit I lived in Fairfield for 2 years and never discovered this place. It wasn't until I moved away and came back to visit my daughter at college almost 3 years later that I came across it!

I'll also admit to being a little confused as to how seating works... The server who greeted us was kind and patient enough to explain it to me.

They have a dining area in the back that has table service. You can't see it from the entrance, so if you don't know it's there, you'd think it just had a small seating area with about 3 tables and a handful of tables on the sidewalk. If you don't want table service or if they're full and you don't want to wait, you can order to go, or you can order at the counter and sit at one of the three tables up front (or out on the sidewalk) and they'll bring your food to you.

Once I finally worked through how the seating worked, we really enjoyed our meals. I had a small meatball sandwich that was absolutely delicious and my daughter had a stromboli that was the size of her head. Delicious, but no hope of eating it all (fortunately she was able to take the leftovers home). All in all, a great spot for lunch or dinner.

The food is fantastic, customer service is great, value is amazing BUT the owner is awful to his employees. While there to pick up our order, we witnessed him yelling at several waitresses who were asking for clarification of an order in front of an entire entry full of customers. If he speaks to them in that manner in front of people, I can only imagine how terrible it must be when customers are not there. I am astonished that the wait staff are so amazing when they very clearly are not treated appropriately. Perhaps the owner should take a course in management and customer service.

Stopped by on the way back home for dinner from San Francisco. Our server and the whole staff was extremely nice and the food was delicious. Looking forward to the next time we go on a road trip. Definitely going to make a stop here again.
