Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews

This is kind of a mixed review, so bare with me. We did an order out so the review will be strictly on the food. I will say what we did order was quite good in the taste, and was presentable. I had the ghost pepper sandwich, which for most people would be considerably hot, but for having a sauce based around ghost pepper, two kinds of jalapeno, and pepper jack cheese was just kind of spicy. For the bad part of this my wife had the bacon cheeseburger (forgive he I'm working this two days after and can't remember the actual name) but she ended up having food poisoning the following day, and come to find out this isn't an abnormal thing for Red Robbins. So I would beware of what you eat here. But if you don't get food poisoning at the least the food is pretty good.

I finally tried this place out after living here for almost four years and while they have a clean building with good decor, the food flavor seemed average-at-best to me. My older daughter didn't get excited about the flavor of the corn doggies for starters. The onion rings, sweet potato fries and the 'Cheese master' burger were all just okay but nothing was exceptional and the food wasn't inexpensive. The dill pickle slices that came with my younger daughter's burger were not crisp and were saggy which seemed strange. While 5 Guys has limited options as does In-N-Out, my experience at Red Robin left me with little desire to return since average flavor is not my preference when more flavorful local choices are available. They did seem to have plenty of customers so that tells me that most people aren't seeking the best burger option around. Maybe they have something good but not when it comes to burgers, which is supposedly one of their specialties. You can sign up for military discounts to their credit and the menu is full of choices. However, a burger fan can do better than this place in the city of Vacaville.

Had a great time I was here last! I can’t remember my servers name (boy, blonde curly hair) but he was great! Super energetic and charismatic, brought us fries right after taking our order and was very attentive to our needs. Looked like he might have been training for a promotion, and he deserves it!

We came a little earlier than our large group and we waited in the bar. We told the server how many we were going to want to sit together and they got the tables ready while we waited. We had sodas and appetizers while we waited too. The rest of our party arrived and they had our table ready. The servers apparently all work together because they were always asking each often if they needed any help. It’s nice to see the cooperation. I received my meal and was waiting for the other members of my family to receive theirs before I started eating and the waitress asked if everything was okay with my meal! She was very attentive despite the large number of people to serve. The manager came over and introduced herself to us and told us if we needed anything to just let her know. They have all kinds of hamburgers, chicken and fun foods like onion rings, fried pickles etc. They offer bottomless sodas and bottomless fries with most hamburgers. I highly recommend Red Robin for a fun, family meal.

This is a typical Red Robin. They seemed incessantly have problems with their beer taps. If you're a Beer Drinker I would definitely call ahead and make sure their Taps are working. Over the last two years they have constantly had problems getting their beer taps to work.

Service there is usually not that great. They routinely forget to bring out silverware, and other basic items with your food.

My husband really likes the free fry refills. The burgers are okay. The milkshakes are pretty good. If you want to get a lot of quantity innocent down atmosphere this may be a good choice for you. If you don't want any beer I would drive over the highway and go to Habit though. Their prices are a bit cheaper and the food quality there is much higher.
