BackDoor Bistro and Wine Bar

Went for lunch date with my husband, Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere. Very friendly staff, who answered questions we had about the menu. Wonderful, yummy food! Cant wait to go back to try more!

I love local and quaint.....Backdoor Bistro fit the ticket. Ordered the cheese and charcuterie plate. All selections were very tasty...the figs were my favorite sweet and ripe. Also order the beet salad which was served on a base of feta mousse with thinly sliced pears, orange segments and toasted pumpkin seeds. One of the best beet salads I've had. The warm bread was slightly crisp on the outside with a warm middle and paired with a mild olive oil that was not bitter or thick to the palate. As many other reviewers have noted, this is a restaurant that is all about the food, nothing fancy with the atmosphere, but the food is worth every penny! Good selection of wines as well. Highly recommend!

Exceptional meal and service. Outstanding in every aspect from the hostess to the final check. Amazing food, good beer selection, attentive and friendly service, quaint atmosphere. Perfect. Don’t be kept away by the strip center location.

Not what you would expect from the outside. While I give it 4 stars there were a couple of things. Let's start with the food, service and ambience were very good. My questions are why is my risotto swimming... And I mean swimming in brown butter. Never had a brown butter and sage risotto swimming in liquid. My son's mac cheese and chicken he didn't finish and we asked for a doggie bag... We never received it to take home. Still worth checking out.

Amazing find! Great food. True farm to table flavor. Sat at bar and loved watching the kitchen and dynamics. Our new favorite when driving to Tahoe!
