Food good, music didnt match decor..
Tri-tip and short-ribs we're excellent as we're all the sides. Friendly service
Food: tri-tip was tender, moist and filled with flavors. The hotlink was mediocre at best. The red rice was tasty. The potato salad was delicious. The chicken empanada was just alright. Then environment was clean and inviting.
Love their Chamorro ribs and red rice!
Let me start off by saying that I am most definitely not a Chamorro food connoisseur - I’ve never had it before and wanted to try something different. I’m also from “out of town“, so take this review with a grain of salt.
For my liking, the food was mediocre. As some have already mentioned, the barbecue was considerably drier than I expected-though the flavor on the ribs was good, I’m used to moist and tender barbecue with some sauce or seasoning on it - this had neither. The try tip was better, and moist. The vinaigrette sauce they provide is pretty good with it and goes well to give it some additional flavor.
The people working there were very polite and easy to converse with. They took the time to explain the menu to me, having not been there before.
The sides are exceptionally small (feel like they would’ve fit in a thimble!) and I found them to be mediocre at best.
Not being from this area, I was rather uncomfortable with the location-there were no less than 10 homeless folks browsing the parking lot and three semi-permanent RV‘s parked in the parking lot which had obviously been there for a long time. Knowing all this, and that I paid $15 for my plate, I wouldn’t foresee returning.
