I have something different every time I visit, and each time the flavors hit my pallet in a pleasing way. I especially enjoy the variety of taco options and the Urban Fried rice. The Urban grilled corn is also yummylicious!
Someone mentioned this restaurant on Next Door, I got the Cajun shrimp taco ala Carte for $6, and steak Taco, side order of the lime cilantro rice
I got it to go, great ambience, mellow jazz, good service, everything you would expect in a quality restaurant, will be going again, near Empress Theater on Virginia and Marin Street
Oh did i say the food was delicious 😉
Please support black owned businesses in Vallejo. The owners are affable and knowledgeable about food cuisine. The types of foods are an electic mix of Caribbean, California, and Mexico. The food is fresh and authentic and full of flavor. I would savory every bit of morsel in my mouth as my sense of taste created a picturesque feeling of a bit of heavenly goodness. The restaurant has a warm an inviting atmosphere. You can have a cocktail nestled by the fireplace looking out the window gazing at the artistic views of downtown. The chef is exciting and innovative and is always creating another masterpiece. This place reminds me of cocinas I have visited during my visit to Mexico and Cuba. Next time you are out and want to try a new restaurant, then go ahead and give this place a visit.
I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and met Jamal, who is friendly and hospitable. I ordered the Beans & Rice Bowl with chicken, and it was so good! I definitely want to return and try the 1945 Spooners Bowl (vegetables), the Urban Corn and the Fried Tacos. The cuisine is Mexican-Caribbean fusion.
This place is amazing!!! My partner and I visited last weekend after the farmer's market and had a great experience! The food was super tasty. The potato taco was out of this world, and the rice and beans were really delicious! The owners were friendly and fun to converse with. We will definitely be visiting again and again!!
