They now take reservations. Which I highly recommend you make. It was hard getting in without them.

Fresh sushi with basic fish selection, friendly and fast service in cozy setting, reasonable price (esp. lunch specials). Short lunch though. Most places close at 2:30pm, they close at 2:00pm and if you show up a bit before 2:00pm you will be turned away or you could order a quick take out since the kitchen is already closed. After closing time you tend to feel rushed to move on. Bathroom is nice and well maintain.

The food is pretty good but it sucks to show up at 8:30 when they're open til 9 and get turned away...while other people sit eating.
If you're open til 9 then be open til 9. It's not like I showed up at 9. Half an hour before closing should be serving time still.

Good food. Reasonable prices. Little noisy but we didn't mind. Working on eco friendly to go boxes. Had a great time.

Some of the best sushi around. Shige is behind the bar while what I presume is his wife & other employees work the cozy floor. It’s great to hear them talk in Japanese. The takoyaki melts in your mouth. Make sure if you’re going for dinner you make a reservation, perhaps even in advance - this place fills up fast!
