Amazing beer. Great food. I highly recommend the tour. We took the tour with Kayle (sp?) Today and really enjoyed learning about Lagunitas. Looking forward to the next time we can come down.

Pretty cool place, okay staff, beer on average is good. I want to go back when I can really enjoy. It's meant for warmer days/nights, it was 42 degrees when we were here and most everything is kinda based on fresh air and the outside. Overall cool place, good food, they do need to up their beer game to compete with the taste of the good micros.

Well, I'd never planned on visiting the brewery 1) since it's a bit far from the Bay Area and 2) I've never thoroughly enjoyed any of the Lagunitas beers I've encountered at a bar, but it was an hour drive from hiking in Point Reyes and we decided why not?
The space is large and inviting, with lots of wooden benches and tables, and a live band playing. It's also a bit busy and hectic, but it's never too hard to flag down a server.
I'm glad they had a lot more on tap than the typical ales and lagers sold in craft beer bars. The first beer I had, on the bartender's rec, was actually quite bad. A pineapple sour that was thoroughly bitter, imbalanced, and acidic. The next one I had, an IPA, was tasty. The best was a barrel aged sour called Aunt Sally. Very refreshing and balanced. Probably wouldn't return, but I'm glad they do sell weird stuff at their brewery. Hopefully we'll see more sours and obscure brews from Lagunitas in bars across the US.
