The Shuckery

Best place in town! If only it were easier to get in now that everyone has figured out just how good the Shuckery is.

Sat at the bar since the restaurant was full. Was able to watch the chefs work together well to create one of the best fish dinners I have ever had. I had the Black Cod dinner. The fish was perfectly seasoned and was served on a wonderful bed of wild rice with root vegetables. The semi sweet chocolate cake tasted like a chocolate souffle. Was delicious but not too rich. My husband had a selection of oysters and the seafood stew which he said were delicious. All of the staff worked well together to prepare and serve the food at the right time. I will definitely return!

I loved it. We were not able to sit in the main part of the restaurant though, we were seated in the back bar. It was still lovely and the food was good, wine was good and service was good.

I had the fish tacos but neglected to ask how fish was prepared, grest flavor but I don't like battered and fried foods. The shrimp appetizer was amazing though and the creme brulee was one of the best I've had! Service was awesome too!

Very good, attentive service and nice atmosphere. Three stars because value for money just wasn’t there. Small portions and high prices. Prices would be warranted if the quality and value were like other seafood bistros like Bar Crudo in SF and Seaside Metal in Guerneville.
