My grandson took me out to lunch at BonChon and the food was fabulous. You order at the main counter then take your seat and wait for your name to be called. It didn't take long. They have two main sauces to choose from, bbq and garlic soy. We had the bbq chicken and the garlic soy pork. It was delicious as I had been wanting something different from my American diet. I would highly recommend this cute but smallish restaurant.
We’ve visited 4 times since opening and are so glad there’s another place to get Korean fried chicken in Petaluma! So far, the wings and drumsticks have always been delicious, and the donuts and fries are great. The staff are also friendly and wait times have gone done since they first opened. We’ll definitely keep coming back!
However, other menu items aside from the wings and drumsticks have been hit or miss. The one time we got chicken strips they were very, very tough. When we got the bonchon bowl it came without bibimbap sauce, and the chicken katsu came without katsu sauce or mayo (all of which were listed on the menu). Since they’re newly open it’s possible things will improve over time!
Ordered spicy korean bbq wings and soy garlic, it was good but wanted the yangnyeom but they were out of it when they opened at 11…seasoned fries were good, but one side was not that seasoned as you can tell from the pic…waited 35ish minutes long for a small order. Lots of ppl waiting on their food but typical for a new restaurant with young workers still in training. Manager/supervisor apologized for the wait.
Foods are good. Cashiers can do a bit better cuz they aren't familiar with the foods yet. Order Chapchae and my is missing the most important the glad noodles. Order chicken wings got 1 wing.
