Tucked into San Rafael's industrial complex is a colorful & spacious eatery decorated in beautiful wrought iron sunflower motif. Open kitchen & grill provides easy viewing of your foods preparation. I saw them roasting fresh habaneros for their daily menu!

Respect the chili sauces, especially the green monster.

Whenever I'm thinking Mexican casual food in RP, this is the place. It's in a former fast food place, so it's a bit loud. It's not meant to hang out. Lots of orders to go and a drive thru. The food and service will bring you back. It runs like clockwork with a distinct care for the customer in Spanish or English. Don't let the history of the building hold you back.

Favorito was a family business in San Francisco that expanded into a local chain. When the recession hit they sold off the outlying stores, some of which licensed the name - but are now operated with varying degrees of quality.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this particular store. Options were plentiful, cost reasonable, food exceptional. My only complaint is that I don't live closer!
